Marty Haws

Episode #317

Marty Haws is an inspiration and his dedication in doing the hard things is infectious!  He is known for his time as a player on the BYU men’s basketball team. Throughout his life, Marty has recorded times of 10.64 in the 100 meters, 21.39 in the 200 meters, 4.46 in the 40-yard dash, leaped 23-0 1/2 in the long jump and has a 32-inch vertical jump. He placed fifth as a freshman in the WAC 100 meters and went to the NCAA Championships in Louisiana as a member of the 4 X 100 relay team, winning the WAC in 1987. During his career, he played professional basketball in the EuroLeague and NCAA Division I basketball and track & field. 

Marty married the love of his life Tiffanie and they have two sons together, Tyler and TJ. Both Tyler and TJ have played basketball in the NCAA Division I and are on a professional team. 

He is the host of his own podcast with Mike Smith & Maddy Rasmusen – Blood, Sweat & Sports Parenting (www.sportsparentingpodcast.com) and loves talking about work ethic, faith, belief systems, attitudes, and the power of morning routines.
