Gabe Schiavone

Episode #430

From rockstar to rock bottom… and back.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Gabey Schiavone devoted his life to music — touring the world as a recording artist across rock ‘n’ roll, punk, and heavy metal. In 2012, he retired from the stage, moved to Utah, and dreamed of becoming a full-time family man.

Shortly after, he was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer. Though he beat the cancer, he fell into a deep depression and developed a heavy addiction to prescription opioids during treatment. Over the next decade, his addiction cost him nearly everything — family, friends, shelter, and even the will to live.

But that wasn’t the end of Gabey’s story.

On August 1, 2023, he checked into treatment for the last time — fully surrendered, fully committed. Beneath the wreckage was still the passionate, driven artist with big dreams. And today, he’s rebuilding a life of purpose, creativity, and hope.

Redemption is real. Recovery is possible.

Gabe is loved by all of us — and we are proud to stand by him.  Get ready — he’s about to rock your world.
