Susan Peterson

Episode #248

Susan Peterson is a compassionate person.  Susan’s compassion is fueled by the loss of her son to a drug overdose.  She is on a mission to help as many people suffering from addiction.  She is one of the founders of the Sobriety Foundation, a non-profit foundation where they connect and fund adults in need of treatment facilities and other community partners to achieve lifelong sobriety.

The Sobriety Foundation has funded over 1,200 people with Sober Living Scholarships, where struggling addicts can find a better way to live their lives.  According to a Mental Health Annual Report, it showed that 134,172 adults in Utah needed treatment for drug or alcohol dependence, but the public system could only serve 13,400 individuals.  That is why Susan created the Sobriety Foundation.

Susan is one of the best people you will ever meet and you will be touched by her vulnerability as she talks about the loss of her son and how she is now on a mission to change the world.  Tune in, you will love her!
